All this while I thought the kebaya and kurung were the product of my culture and roots. They in fact, are the result of Dutch colonisers promoting more modest clothes to the Javanese women. So yes, even the Indonesian national costumes were thought of by Europeans and their Eurasian wives. Pfft.
As a few of my friends have said, the momentum is gone. You toil over something and it still doesnt seem to be over.
However, the love for Malaysia Fest is rooted deep within my soul. I think of it every hour of the day. Even til the wee hours of the night. Such is my dedication to one wonderful day filled with glorious FOOD, spectacular performances and fabulous games and prizes.
A dash of Disney, a sprinkle of pop punk, lashings of sweet treats, a pinch of superheroes, bundles of laughter and a tinge of crankyness.
All wrapped up in a pretty package that resembles the Cookie Monster.
