Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens
It's funny how your mom or your granma says to you, 'Don't put the karipap back once you've touched it! Kotor Laaa!' and then when they think you're not looking, they do it as well.
I spent dinnertime looking at baby photos of me and my brother. I swear we were pretty cute back then. My mom turned to us and said, 'What happened eh?'.
My brother has been amusing me to no end with his various comedian impersonations: from Russel Peters to the cast of Whose Line Is It Anyway. If he flunks out of law school he can always do stand up comedies and theatre. I'd be in the front row on every opening night. :D
My dad said something sweet yesterday, 'You write better than mummy what..'. Muahahahaha.
And now, my Faezah is back in London. Sigh.
Blow the candles sweetie!
Just for the record, and no I'm not fishing for anything (HONEST), I did not have a birthday celebration as I had initially planned. So yes, two years without celebrations.
If that reality does not shove you into adulthood then nothing else does.
Cheh, padahal lotsa other things can, like getting pregnant or having to support your family financially singlehandedly. But I shall play the Drama Queen and sigh aloud for the eighteen millionth time. Muahahaha.
I'm grateful though. Really, I am. :D

Wanderin' free, wish I could be, Part of that world.
Im finally 21! I'm about to make a list of resolutions and draw up a timeline to make sure each and everyone of my goals get executed and is a success. (I sure hope they are a success :S). I've also realized I've got tons of responsibilities these holidays, so those are going in the timeline as well. ;)
Anyway, if you're wondering if I'm starting to act my age, the answer is of course a hefty NO. Here's one proof of my immature early morning endeavors:
How I wish right now, I were in a Fantasy World, made up of fables and mythology and disney lore. Of mutants and pirates and witches and Animals.
Where I can trade in all the fickle boys for my unconventional Prince Charming who talks to animals, was a street rat, as loyal as Beast, has wit as sharp as Godric Gryffindor's sword, Capt. Jack Sparrow's charm and a sense of humour on par with mine (muahahaha).
I want to be able to live free and shape shift at will. I want to ride the thermals freely. I want to prowl the jungle on all fours at midnight. I want to slam down child rapists and cowardly murderers with my bare Polar Bear paws and all 10 feet of muscle and watch blood flow out of their ears and eyes in pure satisfaction. I want to take those infidels' weapons away from them by force, and I'm not talking about man made tools of destruction.
I want to run away from the crime infested streets of Malaysia.
I want to live where all my childish fantasies come true.
I do realise that I seem vaguely disturbed. But at 3 am and having complete independence revoked, headlines seem more disturbing and comics and Disney tunes provide more comfort than hugs and whispered words of affection.
Yes. There you go. I'm sorry dear readers and friends, Miss Immature Cranky Pants is here to stay and not even an extra candle on my birthday cake is going to make her go away. ;)
A thrilling chase, a wonderous place for you and me.
I heartily endorse a trip to Disneyland. It is thoroughly good for your soul. My parents watched in amusement as my inner child was released as I stepped through the gates. Everything brought back awesome memories of my childhood and throughout the day I was seen grinning like a 5 year old whenever a familiar song came on. And that would mean 95% of the time. :D
Hong Kong Disneyland is not as extravagant as its other counterparts. It had less attractions and rides and most of them had additions in Chinese. Nonetheless, they blended in alright and the whole 'Disney feel' was still maintained. Considering I've never been to any other Disneyland, this was good enough for me.
I enjoyed the whole park but the key highlights were 'The Festival of the Lion King' and 'Mickey's PhilharMagic'. I was bopping and swaying and singing along to EVERY tune! The latter showcased a couple of songs from all the movies in my era like 'A Whole New World', 'Be Our Guest', 'Part of Your World' and 'I Just Can't Wait to be King'. Gosh, was I excited. My brother kept turning to me and laughing at my elation.
I also had a very entertaining boat ride with the 'Jungle River Cruise' where our skipper was this cute girl with a thick Chinese accent. Sometimes it was hard discerning what she was saying but when we did, she was hilarious! Its good to see some people enjoying their work and making an effort to be nice and entertaining.
The day ended with a magnificent fireworks display at 8 pm from Sleeping Beauty's Castle. My goodness, it was just awe-inspiring. I could hear all the 'oohs' and 'aahs' from the crowd that night. It was just beautiful! They played them in time with some classic Disney songs like 'When you Wish Upon a Star' and 'I'll Make a Man Out of You'. The final song was 'A Whole New World' if I'm not mistaken. At this point I had tears in my eyes because I was SO overwhelmed by the sheer awesomeness of the whole day. Dude, its DISNEYLAND! Nothing in the world can induce such nostalgia in such childish proportions.
Unbelievable sights, indescribable feeling.
Don't you dare close your eyes, Hold your breath it gets better.
Every turn a surprise, every moment red letter.
So there you go. The highlight of my trip.
ps: I want my street rat too.
Part 1: The Princess' Court
Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived a princess who was bestowed her own Kingdom to run for years to come.
She wasn't one of those Disney princesses that came with tragedies and prince charmings. No. She was all about running her kingdom, making sure her subjects were happy and her economy was stable. All with the help of her loyal band of highest officers.
The Princess knew she couldn't run the kingdom on her own, so she appointed the help of a group of wise and experienced people:
The Prime Minister was second in command. Besides helping preside over the financial matters of the Kingdom and planning new projects, she was also the Princess' personal counselor. She was always the first person the Princess consulted and ran to in tears of sadness or joy. She was a good listener and was always straightforward with her remarks.
The Wizard was once a King in his own right. His kingdom however, was bought by younger, more greedy Princes and he was then exiled to an island where he learned the art of magic from a hermit. He was then sent to be a mentor and guide to the Princess, steering her out of trouble and teaching her skills to become a good leader.
The Bard ventured into the Kingdom one day without much to his name except for a lute in his hand and a few shillings in his pocket. As he was knocking on doors searching for work, the Prime Minister happened to bump into him and offered him a job at the Princess' court. From then on, he entertained her with his jokes and songs.
The Knight lead the Princess' army. Since their Kingdom was not keen on invading other lands, they did not need many warriors but those few that were drafted were the best ones out of many of the surrounding lands and had great defense. He always knew which of the Princess' buttons to push to annoy her and did so frequently.
The Executioner doubled up as the Kingdom's sheriff. He brought justice to the Kingdom and ensured that everyone acted by the books. Petty crimes were sometimes overlooked, when it caused more fun then harm. His trademark punishment was Death By Tickles, reserved only to those who incurred the wrath of the Princess.
The Secretary kept all the books and reports in check. She always jotted down the minutes of the meetings and kept everything in written form in place. She was extremely organized and was sometimes seen cleaning after the Princess even though it wasn't in her job description. She was also the Princess' Secret Keeper.
The Head Chef was in charge of making the Princess happy because in this Kingdom, the way to the Princess' heart is through her stomach. She was also in charge of the frequent banquets and cocktail parties and those who ate them always praised her dishes. She had a habit of serving warm meals in the middle of late night meetings to please the Court.
Though thoroughly diverse, the each had merits that they brought to the table and ensured the Kingdom ran smoothly. Working together ever so often, they soon formed a strong bond with each other and the Princess, no matter how impossible she came to be.
How Impossible you ask? That's up next in Part 2. What? You think I wouldn't want a chapter of my own? Hey, who's the Princess here? *pouts*
Omigod! That's enormous!
Im back home! Its been alright so far. I feel kinda weird being back. I blame the weather. It's been raining since I got back. So unfun.
But my two sidekicks have been a blast. Ive been having laughing workouts these past two days due to carrot jokes and youtube sessions. I even had a virtual Pong session at Ikea. :P. We've been baking n cooking n eating. Pah.

The boogieman checks his closet for Chuck Norris
Just a few more hours until this Princess boards Le Royal Fleet back to home soil.
Shit-take Mushrooms.
Can you believe that I'm actually filled with anxiety? Im afraid of so many things. One of it is arguing with my mom. I really dont want to, but I have a feeling its gonna happen anyway. I'm afraid this summer wont be as fun as I hope it to be.
How, how, how do I get into last year's mindset?
I didn't have any expectations when I went back last year except to have happier times than my uni semester. Considering this semester was pretty darn awesome (besides of course, THAT subject) I dont know if holidays will pale in comparison to it.
*Takes a deep breath*. Okay. I'm gonna have to stop putting high expectations, sit back, relax and enjoy bumming. Yes. I should make that my mission. BUMMING. Makes me feel better already. :P
ps: Chuck Norris jokes are the Shiznit.
