Though the wind bites, the sun seems to shine brighter still.
In my hands is a simple piece of paper with barely more than 9 lines on it. Plain and white. To normal people it seems unimportant. But to me, this piece of paper means a whole lot.
My triumphs are right there, splashed out in front of me.
All those depressed moments staring at bowls of oatmeal and guzzling down celery juice for dinner. The times when I refused oysters and Mcd fries. The extra money I spent on stuff like Logicol spread and Pura & Yoplait Heart Active dairy products. All of it was worth it.
I'm proud to say that my cholesterol has gone down 0.6 points. I know that doesn't sound like much to most of you but it is absolutely a HUGE deal to me. Considering I was gorging down on satay the week before and eating my life away during winter. Last year I only managed to go down 0.2 points so to have decreased the level 3 times as much in the same amount of time is just awesome. :D
I am now very very determined to lower it even more till I make it to the normal range. If my amazing mom can do it without the aid of medication, then InsyAllah, so can I. Only 0.3 more points to go. Wish me luck!
ps: I would like to try to have a pesco-vegetarian diet or a flexitarianism diet. Muahahaha..maybe, just MAYBE, one day I might end up being a fully lacto-ovo vegetarian. :D
